Only few militant attacks on Ukrainian army overnight
Russian-backed militants attacked Ukrainian army positions and civilian areas in eastern Ukraine only three times from midnight to Friday morning, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation wrote on Facebook on Friday.
"The militants fired small arms on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the village of Rozsadka in Donetsk region," the report says.
Another case of violation of the Minsk agreements by the illegal armed groups took place near the village of Triokhizbenka in Luhansk region. At about 01:00, the Russian mercenaries fired 152mm cannons on the outskirts of the village.
"Despite a relative slowdown in militants' activity, the Ukrainian armed forces continue building up a set of measures to improve our defense. The fortification of areas, front lines and positions on most sections has been almost completed," the press center said.
In addition, the press center has published photos of the destroyed village of Shyrokyne.
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, the situation around the village of Shyrokyne near the Ukrainian-controlled city of Mariupol was relatively calm, but there were no civilians remaining in the village.
