Russian proxies violate Donbas truce 46 times on Monday
The combined Russian-separatist forces violated the truce in Donbas 46 times on Monday, using heavy weapons banned under the Minsk peace agreements, according to the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) press center.
"All in all, the enemy violated the ceasefire 46 times from midnight to 18:00 local time on Monday. Artillery systems were used four times, mortars 15 times, small arms and grenade launchers 13 times, and enemy tanks launched attacks three times. The ATO forces fired back, using the weapons that are not banned under the Minsk agreement," the ATO wrote on Facebook.
The enemy was most active from midnight to 06:00 local time, the press center said.
In particular, the occupiers based near the city of Donetsk shelled the town of Avdiyivka three times, using 120mm-caliber mortars. At 03:10, militants based in the village of Spartak started shelling the town's residential areas with the use of 152mm-caliber artillery systems. At 04:00 local time they started firing from 120mm-caliber mortars, and at 05:30 they opened fire on the village of Troyitske from artillery systems. What is more, enemy tanks attacked the villages of Opytne and Pervomaiske.
The ATO forces in the village of Starohnativka in the Mariupol sector were under fire – Kremlin-backed militants fired 120mm-caliber mortars twice and 122mm-caliber artillery systems twice.
At about 04:00 and 05:00 local time on Monday, the Russian proxies fired 120mm-caliber mortars on the village of Krymske in Luhansk region.
