"Over the last day, the enemy has reduced the number of attacks on ATO forces in Donbas. However, following their tactics, the Russian-terrorist forces continued to use banned weapons more actively in the dark. On August 5 from 18:00 Kyiv time to midnight, the occupiers were firing 120mm mortars on the ATO forces in the villages of Pisky, Novomykhaylivka, Opytne, and the town of Avdiyivka," the report says.
In the direction of Artemivsk, at about 22:00 Kyiv time, the Kremlin mercenaries fired tank shells and 120mm mortars on a fortified position in the village of Kurdiumivka. And at 22:20 Kyiv time, they fired 122mm artillery on the village of Troitske.
"It was rather quiet in the area of Mariupol and Luhansk region from 18:00 Kyiv time to midnight. The enemy provoked [Ukrainian troops] by firing small arms in the town of Schastia and the village of Stanytsia Luhanska," the headquarters said.
After midnight on August 6, Russian proxies continued to fire 120mm mortars near the villages of Leninske and Maiorske. And at about 01:00 and 03:00 Kyiv time, they fired tank shells on the village of Opytne.
