Terrorists fire artillery on Maryinka, five-month baby seriously wounded
The Russian-backed terrorists opened fire on residential areas of the town of Maryinka at about 01:00 Kyiv time on Monday, August 17, the press service of the Interior Ministry in Donetsk region has reported.
One of the shells exploded in the residential area on Ordzhonikidze Street, where a family with a five-month baby lived.
The girl was injured by shrapnel in the abdomen, while her parents were not wounded. The baby was later admitted to a hospital in Dnipropetrovsk and underwent surgery.
Information on casualties or damage is being updated. An investigative team of the Maryinka police department arrived at the scene.
As UNIAN reported earlier, militants were attempting to destroy the Minsk truce, seeking to request "help" from Russia.
