General Staff: 1,757 soldiers killed in ATO

A total of 1,757 servicemen of the Ukrainian armed forces have been killed during the fighting since the launch of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in Donbas in mid-April 2014, head of staff of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ihor Voronchenko said at a briefing on Monday.


"Over the entire period of the ATO, including during the annexation of Crimea, we have lost 1,915 people, including 1,757 KIA's. The number of the wounded has been 7,053 people, including 5,547 WIA's," he said.
