From 18:00 local time on January 13, the enemy continued firing on the positions of the Ukrainian troops near the occupied city of Donetsk and the militant-held town of Horlivka, using small arms, heavy machine guns and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. The situation was most tense near the villages of Pisky (close to the ruined Donetsk airport), Opytne, Novhorodske, Zaitseve and Mayorsk, as well as the towns of Avdiyivka and Maryinka, the report said.

"In addition, our fortified positions near Opytne and Zaitseve came under fire of 82mm mortars. Enemy snipers were also working near Novhorodske and Mayorsk. The ceasefire, which was again agreed in Minsk yesterday, January 13, is observed only unilaterally, i.e. by ATO forces," the headquarters said.

"In turn, from midnight on January 14, pro-Russian organized crime groups have attacked our soldiers at least 10 times already. In particular, they fired small arms on ATO forces near Pisky and Verkhniotoretske, automatic mounted grenade launchers were used near Opytne, grenade launchers near Novhorodske, and a heavy machine gun near Zaitseve. The situation remained calm in Luhansk region and the Mariupol sector in the last day," the press center said.
