The enemy used all available weapons to shell fortified positions near the town of Maryinka. The occupiers fired grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and even anti-aircraft guns.
In addition, the Ukrainian troops deployed not far from the town of Krasnohorivka were under grenade and mortar fire. The enemy also used infantry fighting vehicles, automatic grenade launchers and machine guns to attack the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Novhorodske.
What is more, the Ukrainian fortified positions in the villages of Troyitske and Zaitseve were attacked by Russian-backed militants with mortars.
"As was the case before, the situation was tense near the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk. The enemy fired rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns on our fortified positions in the villages of Opytne, Pisky, the town of Avdiyivka and Butivka coal mine," the press center said.
In total, the enemy attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 66 times in the last day.
