Terrorists fire Grads on ATO forces, use antitank guided missile
The combined Russian-separatist forces continue shelling of the Ukrainian positions, ignoring the agreements to de-escalate the conflict in Donbas, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) wrote on Facebook early Wednesday.
In addition to rocket-propelled grenades and mortars, the occupiers used multiple rocket launchers at night.
The enemy fired Grad multiple rocket launchers on the Ukrainian fortified positions in the villages of Pervomaiske and Nevelske.
The militants also fired mortars on ATO forces in the town of Krasnohorivka, the villages of Pisky, Shyrokyne, Lebedynske, and not far from the villages of Chermalyk and Vodiane.
"The shelling of our fortified positions with the use of rocket-propelled grenades and small arms was recorded in the town of Maryinka, the villages of Opytne, Luhanske, Novhorodske, Zaitseve, Troyitske and Novoselivka. In addition, the enemy fired an antitank guided missile on the Ukrainian positions in Opytne," the report says.
The situation was tense in the Luhansk sector, where the militants fired mortars on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Krymske and the town of Zolote.
"In general, the Russian-backed mercenaries attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 60 times in the past 24 hours," the press center said.
