"There were three killed in action (KIA's) and 16 wounded in action (WIA's)," administration spokesman for Anti-Terrorist Operation issues Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Sunday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

The casualties were the result of battles in the Donetsk sector, Lysenko said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Russian proxies intensified shelling in all directions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with 51 attacks recorded on July 9 alone, according to the ATO headquarters press center. 

The ATO HQ reported one KIA and and six WIA's on Friday, July 8.
