Donbas militants active in Luhansk sector, 1 WIA on Oct 15
Russia's hybrid military forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas nine times as of 18:00 on October 15, mostly in the Luhansk sector, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action (WIA), the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters reports.
Since midnight, the militants have fired 82mm mortars twice on ATO strongholds near the village of Triokhizbenka. They used the same type of weapons, as well as an automatic grenade launcher on the outskirts of Novotoshkivske. The Russian-backed mercenaries also opened fire from small arms near the village of Novo-Oleksandrivka.
"As a result of shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded at about 11:00 Kyiv time. He is now in a military hospital. His condition is estimated as satisfactory," the report said.
