It has not previously been reported that the village is under Ukraine's control until the Ukrainian troops have gained a foothold on the positions, the TV news service TSN's Ranok program reported.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the situation in eastern Ukraine escalated most in the Luhansk sector in the last 24 hours after a skirmish broke out near the village of Krymske, which lasted about eight hours.

"The Ukrainian troops killed four occupiers, another five were wounded during the fight near Krymske. Unfortunately, four of our heroes were killed and two were wounded," the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters said in an update on Friday morning.

The total Ukrainian casualties on November 23 included five killed in action and four wounded in action. "One soldier is in serious condition, three others are in satisfactory condition. The enemy's casualties include 17 people in the last day: eight killed and nine wounded," the ATO HQ added.
