Turkey has no plans to buy Su-35 fighter jets from Russia, the country's Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar has stated.

Akar called "false" that reports claiming Turkey would soon receive the Su-35s, Deutsche Welle wrote with reference to Turkey's Haberler.

The top defense official says Turkey remains a U.S. partner on F-35 development and hopes its rights will be respected.
