The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine says it is ready to send a mobile group of emergency experts to Iran for search operations in connection with the crash of the Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737 in Iran.

"The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is ready to send a mobile team to Iran for search operations. A group of specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs expert service has been formed at the Ministry of Internal Affairs to assist in the search operation," the ministry said on its website.

It is noted the units of the State Emergency Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are awaiting a decision by the government of Ukraine and the Iranian side.

As UNIAN reported earlier, UIA flight PS752 bound for Kyiv, with 167 passengers and nine crew on board, crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran airport in the early hours of Wednesday, January 8.

Local emergency services say no one survived the crash.
