The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 17 million patients as of July 30.

As many as 17,031,281 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 08:35 on July 30, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 667,060 people, while 9,951,105 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (150,713 people), Brazil (90,134), the United Kingdom (46,046), Mexico (45,361), Italy (35,129), India (34,955), and France (30,226).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (4,426,982 confirmed cases), Brazil (2,552,265), India (1,581,963), Russia (827,509), South Africa (471,123), Mexico (408,449), Peru (400,683), Chile (351,575), and the United Kingdom (303,063).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
