The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 54.3 million patients as of November 16.

As many as 54,370,756 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 08:27 on November 16, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (246,214 people), Brazil (165,798), India (130,070), Mexico (98,542), the United Kingdom (52,026), Italy (45,229), and France (42,601).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (11,037,061 confirmed cases), India (8,845,127), Brazil (5,863,093), France (1,915,713), Russia (1,910,149), Spain (1,458,591), the United Kingdom (1,372,884), and Argentina (1,310,491).

As many as 191 countries have been affected by the virus.
