The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 7 million patients as of the morning of June 8.

As many as 7,036,623 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 14:33 on June 8, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 403,211 people, while 3,153,233 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (110,514 people), the United Kingdom (40,625), Brazil (36,455), Italy (33,899), France (29,158), and Spain (27,136).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (1,942,363 confirmed cases), Brazil (691,758), Russia (467,043), the United Kingdom (287,621), India (258,090), Spain (241,550), Italy (234,998), Peru (196,515), France (191,102), Germany (185,869), Iran (173,832), and Turkey (170,132).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
