The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 35.8 million patients as of October 7.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (210,909 people), Brazil (147,494), India (104,555), Mexico (82,348), the United Kingdom (42,535), Italy (36,030), and Peru (32,834).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (7,501,612 confirmed cases), India (6,757,131), Brazil (4,969,141), Russia (1,231,277), Colombia (869,808), Peru (829,999), Spain (825,410), and Argentina (824,468).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
