The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 8.3 million patients as of the morning of June 18.

As many as 8,351,428 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 09:33 on June 18, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 449,047 people, while 4,076,245 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (117,717 people), Brazil (46,510), the United Kingdom (42,238), Italy (34,448), France (29,578), and Spain (27,136).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (2,163,290 confirmed cases), Brazil (955,377), Russia (552,549), India (366,946), the United Kingdom (300,717), Spain (244,683), Peru (240,908), Italy (237,828), Chile (220,628), Iran (195,051), France (194,805), Germany (188,604).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
