Bank robbed in Kyiv center

A perpetrator armed with a handgun robbed a bank on Saksaganskogo Street in the central part of the Ukrainian capital and fled the scene.


Patrol police crews, crime scene experts and detectives from the Holosievo district Police Department have arrived at the scene, according to the press service of Kyiv Police.

The law enforcement officers questioned the bank staff and other witnesses of the incident. It was discovered that the armed robber had walked into the bank office and demanded that the cashiers handed him cash.

As a result, nearly UAH 100,000 was given to the attacker.

When the perpetrator saw that the guard had pressed the alarm button, he immediately ran outside.

The investigation is under way.
