Moskal said the decision had been taken due to the failure of central authorities to respond to the need for legislative measures with regard to crossing the demarcation line.
The press service said that the interim procedure of control over the movement of persons, vehicles and goods has not been worked out thoroughly enough, which "gives grounds for accusations from the militants regarding the abuse of power and corruption, as well as provoking a sharply negative attitude of the local population to law enforcement authorities and the Ukrainian government as a whole."
In addition, the interim procedure of control over the movement of persons is inefficient, because at a number of checkpoints crossing of the demarcation line is carried out without checks, the press service statement reads.
