In addition, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa wrote on Twitter that the ministry had condemned the illegal sentence of Vyhivsky.

"We strongly condemn [the] illegal sentence [imposed on] Valentyn Vyhivsky in Russia. [We] urge Russia to release all Ukrainian political prisoners," she tweeted.

As reported by TASS, the Moscow Regional Court sentenced Ukrainian citizen Vyhivsky to 11 years in prison for economic and military espionage in Russia's aerospace industry.

"Ukrainian citizen Valentyn Vyhivsky, accused of committing crimes under Article 183, part 1, and Article 276 of the Russian Criminal Code, has been sentenced by the Moscow Regional Court to 11 years imprisonment, the term is to be served in a tight-security penal colony," the FSB reported.
