The Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) in January-May 2019 increased passenger flow by 18.1% year-over-year, to 5.168 million people, the airport’s press service says.

At the same time, passenger traffic on international flights amounted to 4,755 million people (growth by 19.1%), on domestic – 412,900 (growth by 7.5%), Open4Business says.

In general, in January-May 2019, the airport serviced 40,502 flights (an increase of 11.2%), including 35,215 international and 5,287 domestic flights.

In January-May 2019, on regular flights, the Boryspil airport saw 4.113 million passengers (a rise of 21% over the same period in 2018), of them 1.055 million – on irregular flights (up 7%).

The number of transfer passengers since the beginning of 2019 has amounted to 1.243 million, which is 6% more than in the same period of 2018. The share of transfer passengers in the total passenger traffic stood at 24% (3 percentage points down).

In May 2019, passenger traffic at the Boryspil airport amounted to 1.358 million people, which is 20.5% more y-o-y.

Passenger traffic on international flights in May stood at 1.262 million passengers (an increase of 21.3%), and 6,000 on domestic flights (a 11.2% rise).

In general, in May, the airport serviced 9,943 flights (an increase of 14.7%), including 8,735 international and 1,208 domestic ones.

The most popular destinations in May were Sharm el-Sheikh, Antalya, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, and Hurghada.
