Now Ukrainian growers are fixing their prices at UAH 6-13/kg (EUR 0.20-0.43/kg), depending on quality, fruit size and variety, and prefer to maintain them at those levels in view of moderate demand, Fruit-Inform wrote.

Such a sharp year-on-year difference in apple prices is connected with lower production of these fruits in Ukraine due to bad weather conditions. Fruit-Inform expects Ukrainian apple production to go down by at least 8% in 2017.
