Kyiv mall flooded after hot water pipe bursts (Video)

The Ocean Plaza Mall in Kyiv has been heavily flooded after a hot water utility pipe burst Monday night.

Boiling hot water is seen flowing across the area adjacent to the mall, including a motorway.

Shoppers posted videos of incoming water on ground floor before being evacuated from the building.

As UNIAN reported in November 2019, two Kyiv drivers were lucky to escape unharmed as their vehicles got stuck in sinkholes as a mixture of boiling hot water and mud burst from underneath a melting asphalt as a result of a 700mm utility pipeline damage on the corner of Rustaveli and Saksahanskoho.
