Parents who have missed or ignored timely vaccinations are making up now as schools and kindergartens reverify children's medical certificates, TSN reports.

Some explain missed timely vaccination with having to cure other diseases, while some were simply scared of a possible epidemic.

Children are vaccinated free of charge with Belgian-made serum.

Acting Health Minister of Ukraine Uliana Suprun considers abnormal the situation with gaps in vaccinations. "This is a real tragedy in a European country where we must have more than 95% of people vaccinate, it's good, it's being used all over the world," she says. Now, according to her, even in the most vaccinated areas, the level is far from optimal and is maintained at 80%. Meanwhile, new cases of measles are recorded in Odesa, Kherson, and Zakarpatia regions.
