Steinmeier to visit Kyiv and Moscow for talks on Ukrainian crisis
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is expected to visit Kyiv and Moscow on November 18 to discuss the Ukrainian situation.
In Moscow, the German foreign minister is to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, Russian newspaper Kommersant has reported.
According to the newspaper, prior to his visit in Moscow, Steinmeier may also visit Kyiv, with the purpose of the visit being the same: to discuss ways to bring an end to the conflict in Ukraine.
Yesterday, Steinmeier said that "the situation on Ukrainian-Russian border clearly indicates that the parties are again preparing for a military confrontation. This must be prevented."
