Russia, the Kremlin-backed militants and the OSCE are to discuss Ukraine’s requirements for implementing peace in the region, while Kyiv has promised to observe a ceasefire during the day of talks. President Poroshenko said that Ukraine is setting objectives “to confirm the plan, a schedule of realization and implementation of the Minsk agreements.”

The original ceasefire deal agreed on in Minsk in September has been continuously violated, with over 1,000 people reportedly killed during this period, as Russia has backed insurgents with equipment, weapons, fighters and training, Ukraine Today informed.

However, the Donetsk militants are seeking to reschedule the talks for “no earlier than December 12”, according to news agency Interfax.
