Biden: Ukraine must not miss its chance for change
Ukraine should not lose the current opportunity to change the country for the better, because if this happens, there will be no more such chances for the foreseeable future, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said on Wednesday in his speech at the National Democratic Institute in Washington, according to Radio Liberty.
"These people, despite the snipers and frost, gained a chance to change their country for the better. They should not miss this opportunity. Almost a quarter century of independence [has been lost], the Orange Revolution has been lost, and if this happens again, these people won’t have any [more] chances in the nearest future," Biden said.
"Ukraine was a kleptocracy, but recently there has been a progress in overcoming of this system, although there are still significant obstacles," he said.
