On the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Ukraine reaffirmed the importance of further consolidation of international efforts in countering terrorism and violent extremism, including through taking effective measures in addressing the conditions conducive to the spread of the threat.

"Terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including state-sponsored terrorism, constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security," MFA Ukraine wrote in a comment Aug 21.

"Ukraine, as a country suffering from the state-sponsored terrorism by the Russian Federation for almost half a decade, co-sponsored UN General Assembly resolution 72/165, expresses its solidarity in support of victims of terrorism and continues to advocate the full and comprehensive respect of their human rights and fundamental freedoms as well as their recovery," wrote the ministry, adding that all perpetrators, organizers, financiers, and sponsors of reprehensible acts of terrorism "will be brought to justice."

"No life fallen to the acts of terrorism is forgotten," Ukraine says.
