Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has said Hungary decided to expel the Ukrainian consul in response to a similar move in Kyiv.

Speaking at a press conference, he said he had summoned the ambassador of Ukraine in Budapest and informed her that the consul has 72 hours to leave Hungary as a mirror response, Europeiska Pravda reports with reference to HVG.hu.

According to Szijjártó, Ukraine continues to aggravate the conflict.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Consul of Hungary in the town of Berehove, Ukraine's Zakarpattia region, on Thursday was declared persona non grata.
