NATO chief: Putin's comment on ‘NATO legion’ in Ukraine is 'nonsense' (Video)
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has described as “nonsense” Russian President Vladimir Putin’s claim that a NATO foreign legion is fighting in Ukraine’s east, adding that the only foreign forces in Ukraine are Russian.
Stoltenberg’s comment followed a NATO extraordinary session on Ukraine crisis on Monday that resulted in a statement urging Russia to “stop its support for the separatists immediately and to stop destabilizing Ukraine,” Ukraine Today reports.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin has been stubbornly denying military involvement in fighting in Ukraine’s east despite the ever-growing body of evidence given by Ukraine, NATO and various international organizations.
