President Petro Poroshenko said that before martial law was introduced in Ukraine, Russia had pulled over 300 main battle tanks to a military base located just 18 km from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

“Why would they pull more than 300 tanks to one base (I showed a satellite imagery). It is located 18 km from our border. They've brought the ammo, they've brought the troops. What was I supposed to do?” Poroshenko said, speaking at a meeting with teachers and students in Dnipro, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
