The United States Embassy in Ukraine has expressed concern over the reports on the health condition of Pavlo Hryb, a Ukrainian national illegally held by Russia as a political prisoner.
"We are deeply concerned by recent reports about the health of Ukrainian #PavloHryb. Russia must provide appropriate medical care to the Ukrainians it unjustly detains and should release all Ukrainian political prisoners immediately," the Embassy's press service wrote on Twitter.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Pavlo Hryb, a 20-year-old Ukrainian national illegally held by Russian authorities on trumped-up "terrorism" charges after he was lured to Belarus to be abducted by the Russian FSB, is on the verge of life and death, as reported by the Verkhovna Rada's human rights envoy Liudmyla Denisova.
“Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Hryb, held Russian dungeons, is on the verge of life and death! The 20-year-old political prisoner needs urgent heart surgery because his state of health is supercritical,” Denisova wrote on Facebook.
