Turchynov: NSDC approves changes to martial law

"One of our main tasks is to adopt amendments to the law on the legal regime of martial law," Turchynov said, asked about the plans of the National Security and Defense Council.

"The thing is that the law on the regime of martial law was adopted many years ago and, unfortunately, the legislators who adopted it didn’t believe that it would be applied one day. Taking into account the real danger that faces Ukraine, we must be prepared for any development of events even under the worst-case scenario," he said.

Turchynov also said that the council had worked out detailed changes required to make this law work effectively.
