On March 7, the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs endorsed the Crimea Annexation Non-recognition Act and recommended it for approval. The Act determines the policy of the United States on non-recognition of sovereignty of the Russian Federation over Crimea, its airspace, or its territorial waters de jure or de facto.

The document also prohibits U.S. federal departments and agencies from carrying out any actions or providing any support that may be interpreted as such, which is contrary to the aforementioned U.S. policy.
