Chief of Ukrainian election frontrunner Volodymyr Zelensky's headquarters, Ivan Bakanov, says their team are still waiting for the presidential candidate, incumbent President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, to fulfill a number of conditions they have set to meet at the debate.
Once the conditions are met, the date and time will be agreed.
"Not all questions have been answered. We're still waiting. Maybe they will give us an additional answer. There were a few more questions in the video ... about recognizing a candidate as a [presidential] candidate, and providing an answer regarding a medical exam," he told UNIAN on April 4.
According to Bakanov, it's too early to say anything specific about the very debate since "all requirements voiced in the video haven't been fulfilled yet."
"The date and time is yet to be coordinated taking into account the essence of the answers that will be provided," he added.
When asked whether negotiations were held on the election debates venue, that is Kyiv's Olympiyskiy Stadium, Bakanov answered: "If such a venue has been proposed, then it obviously not by chance."
