"The reports posted on some Internet portals that the Servant of the People Party cannot take part in the early parliamentary elections on July 21, 2019 for legal reasons is deliberately false information. The information that Dmytro Razumkov was elected the head of the party on May 27 is also false: an extraordinary congress of the Servant of the People Party made the relevant decision on May 21. On this day, Ivan Bakanov resigned as the party's head and suspended his membership in the Servant of the People Party," the party's press service said.

According to the press service, the Servant of the People Party did not amend the party's charter in connection with the change of the head, since according to Ukrainian legislation, the change of the head of a legal entity and making changes to the constituent documents are completely different registration actions.

"The registration actions were carried out by the Ministry of Justice in accordance with the law and within the time limits," the party said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine registered the change of the head of the Servant of the People Party. Dmytro Razumkov replaced Ivan Bakanov who left for public service.
