Billionaire Ihor Kolomoisky has suggested the primary contenders for the post of Ukraine's next prime minister.

In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Kolomoisky said that Yury Vitrenko, CCO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, and Oleksiy Honcharuk, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Economic Affairs, have most chances of winning the race.

"The favorites of the race are Yuriy Vitrenko and Oleksiy Honcharuk," Kolomoisky said.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the next prime minister should be a "new person", an expert in economics.

In addition, the head of state during his vote in parliamentary elections said that he was already holding consultations with the future head of government.

According to the president, this person is an "absolutely professional economist" with no political affiliation.
