Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Vitaliy Bunechko Chairman of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration (RSA).

"Let me introduce the new head of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Ivanovych Bunechko. Congratulations," the president said during a working trip to Zhytomyr region on August 12.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on June 24, Zelensky dismissed Ihor Gundych from the post of the Zhytomyr RSA chairman and appointed the latter's deputy, Yaroslav Laguta, acting chairman.

UNIAN memo. Bunechko was born in 1973 in the city of Sarny in Rivne region. In 1995, he graduated from Lesya Ukrainka Volyn State University (now Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University) having a degree in history, in particular, teacher of history and law. In 1997, he graduated from the SBU Academy with a degree in jurisprudence).

Prior to being appointed Chairman of the Zhytomyr RSA, Bunechko served as first deputy chief of the main department of the SBU Regional Main Directorate, located in Mariupol.
