Journalist, writer for Foreign Policy and author for Tablet Vladislav Davidzon says that some former U.S. ambassadors to Ukraine, who came to the Yalta European Strategy (YES) in Kyiv, that Ukraine's comedian-turned-president, Volodymyr Zelensky, is more serious than U.S. President Donald Trump.

"Three former U.S. ambassadors told me today – I won't tell you their names and countries or international organization [where they served] – that the Ukrainian comedian is a much more serious president than our Trump," he said, the Hromadske news outlet said.

The journalist added that even if it was a joke, there is only a grain of joke in it.

"They [ambassadors] said that Zelensky is a more serious politician and takes his duty more seriously than Trump does," Davidzon said.

According to the journalist, Western politicians and diplomats, who were present at the forum, demonstrated a good attitude and respect to the president of Ukraine.

"We hope he will be a good president and he will have a good team," the journalist concluded.

As was reported earlier, Zelensky is scheduled to meet with Trump on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to discuss how to de-escalate and put an end to the war in Russia-occupied Donbas.
