Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the United States, where the 74th session of the UN General Assembly is taking place, delivered a firm response to the Russian propaganda journalists, answering their question about his talks with U.S. President Trump.

"Nobody can put pressure on me, because I am the president of an independent country. Only one person can put pressure on me – it's my son who is six," he told Russia and Channel One Russia's correspondents.

One of the correspondents asked the Ukrainian president if he was going to ask Trump for anything during the meeting.

"We can talk about support. Asking is definitely not about Ukraine. Ukraine is a new, strong country, asking nothing from anyone. We, ourselves, can help someone," Zelensky added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Trump and Zelensky will meet on September 25, 2019, tor the first time ever.
