Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Yuriy Lutsenko, has commented on criminal proceedings recently launched by the National Anti-corruption Bureau into his possible wrongdoings.

Lutsenko says the case is related to his failure to reprimand own deputy.

"My opponents' habit to search for fleas and pass them off as mammoths remains unchanged. Despite celebrations by certain media, this NABU case regards the fact that I failed to reprimand my deputy. What can I say? Indeed, a large-scale probe," Lutsenko said.
