War in Donbas cannot be settled at the expense of its territories or sovereignty, says Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov.

"The cessation of war cannot take place at the expense of losing our territory or sovereignty," he told Ukraine 24 TV channel.

Danilov said Ukraine was not giving away a single meter of its land.

"We must do everything so that our border guards get to the Ukrainian border, so that elections take place according to Ukrainian laws, so that elections [in occupied Donbas] take place in line with Ukrainian laws on Ukrainian territory, so that the war that has lasted for more than six years ends," he said.
