Russia ‘rebuffed on key issues’ during Normandy Format meeting
Russia suffered a diplomatic rebuff at the latest “Normandy Four” talks between Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Ambassador at Large Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
"For the Russians, the meeting was not a cakewalk, as they received diplomatic iron ‘nos’ on three key points," Kuleba wrote.
At the same time, the meeting participants also refused to discuss a proposal by Russian representatives regarding expansion of the Tripartite Liaison Group to include representatives of the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
"No to shelling and attacks by terrorists and Russian troops. It is not a secret for anyone in the world that the cause of the deterioration of the security situation in the ATO area is the actions of the DPR and LPR militants, as well as the Russian military," Kuleba said.
