Pushkov: More sanctions against Russia won’t help Ukraine

"If the West imposes new sanctions against Russia, it will not help Ukraine, but will result in the removal of Russia from the West in politics and in the economy," Pushkov wrote.

As UNIAN reported earlier,  U.S. news channel CNN reported on the details of new sanctions against Russia that could be imposed by the EU and the United States in the event of an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

The new measures could relate to certain individuals, companies and organizations, and certain sectors of the Russian economy. The sources of the channel named sectors such as finance, energy and defense as being likely targets for stricter sanctions.
