Shelling continues over some areas of rebel stronghold Donetsk in Ukraine's east despite what Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko calls 'the pseudo ceasefire.' Local residents are unhappy and hungry.

Many of the locals in the Kyivskiy district of Donetsk claim they have no other place to go despite daily threats to their lives due to military standoff. Many houses in the district have been damaged or destroyed after combined Russian-separatist forces took control over the city in 2014, according to Ukraine Today.

War is far from over as Russia has sent troops to fight in Ukraine and is arming local separatist groups, according to Ukrainian and Western authorities. Meanwhile, Russia denies any involvement in conflict.
