Exposing Crimes of Communism: Remembering victims of repressive regimes
Ukraine Today interviews Oksana Bushuk Hepburn, founder of Canadian Group for Democracy in Ukraine, via Skype, to discuss the issue of outlawing communist symbols.
According to Bushuk, it’s the Ukrainians who should decide, themselves, whether to get rid of remnants of the communist past and Soviet propaganda altogether.
The Founder of Canadian Group for Democracy in Ukraine also mentions that it is essential to honor the victims of repressive regimes, although the crimes of communism are not commonly considered at the same level as those of the Nazis, according to Ukraine Today.
