"Before joining NATO, we intensified our regional cooperation and created battalions: Lithuanian and Polish battalion, as well as Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian battalion. And I believe that Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia could cooperate in this way, thus proving that the states are able to look beyond, not only in terms of their national interests, that they are able to agree among several states," he said.

According to Landsbergis, he talked about this idea with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin. He believes that Lithuania could serve as an example and share its experience.
