Victor Yushchenko has met with Viktor Yanukovych, Regions Party leader, according to the President’s press-office.
The President said he was worried over the parliamentary crisis, adding that all the parties in the Verkhovna Rada were responsible for it. He said Ukrainians expected stability and unity, urging politicians to spare no effort to stop confrontation and compromise constitutionally.
Then Mr. Yushchenko and Mr. Yanukovych spoke about the Constitutional Court. The Head of State insisted that MPs must immediately hold a swearing-in ceremony of the CC judges appointed by the President and during the congress of judges. He also reproached parliamentarians for refusing to appoint judges from their quota.
