Ukraine's new military doctrine will stipulate Russia as enemy of the country and the aggressor, the Ukrainian Government press service reports, according to Ukraine Today.

"For the first time in the history of independence, there is a clearly identified enemy and aggressor in the draft doctrine and it is the Russian Federation," Ukrainian Prime Minister Yatsenyuk told  the reporters during the opening of ‘Sea Breeze 2015' multinational military exercises near Odesa on Tuesday, Ukraine Today reports.

“The Russian Federation - which illegally annexed Crimea - will realize that any illegal actions will be stopped by our joint efforts," said Yatsenyuk.

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry says the development of defensive weapons and the long-term reorganization of Ukrainian forces are key points of the new military doctrine.
